Loyd Grossman, internationally renowned heritage figure, will be delivering the World Heritage Day lecture for 2021. Loyd will discuss the heritage dilemma faced by Edinburgh, where the cost of conserving the heritage rich environment is rising, while revenue from tourism has dropped dramatically.
Drawing on examples from Paris, London and Venice, Loyd will look at the challenges facing the city as we look to rebuild post-Covid-19, and explore how we can learn from the past. Join us as we take a closer look at Edinburgh’s own heritage dilemma. Please note: This event was originally scheduled for April 2020 and was postponed due to lockdown. Tickets purchased for this original event will be honoured. Ticketholders will be sent all joining information, including joining links and passcodes, by 15 April.
